After Nobunaga's death in 1582, Tadaaki continued to serve Toyotomi Hideyoshi, another powerful warlord who succeeded Nobunaga. Tadaaki fought in several key battles under Hideyoshi, including the Battle of Shizugatake and the Battle of Odawara.

Battle of Sekigahara

In 1600, Tadaaki fought on the side of Tokugawa Ieyasu at the Battle of Sekigahara, which was a decisive battle in the unification of Japan. Tadaaki led a force of over 3,000 men and played a crucial role in Ieyasu's victory.

After the Battle of Sekigahara, Tadaaki continued to serve Tokugawa Ieyasu and became a daimyo (feudal lord) in Tango Province (present-day Kyoto Prefecture). He retired from military service in 1615 and spent his remaining years in peace and tranquility.

Ono Tadaaki died in 1619 at the age of 87. He is remembered as one of the most famous samurai of the Sengoku period and is still revered for his bravery, loyalty, and martial prowess.
