In Why Trust Science?, prominent scholars argue that to understand the role of science in society, we must recover a sense of science's place in human life.

Science is not simply a body of knowledge, but a way of knowing. It is a process of inquiry that is based on evidence and reason. Science is not perfect, but it is the best way we have of understanding the world around us.

Trust in science is essential for a healthy society. Science provides us with the knowledge we need to make informed decisions about our lives and our world. It also helps us to understand the risks and benefits of new technologies.

However, trust in science is not always easy. Science can be complex and difficult to understand. It can also be controversial, especially when it challenges our beliefs or values.

In Why Trust Science?, the authors explore the challenges to trust in science and offer ways to overcome them. They argue that we need to be more open to new ideas and evidence, even when they challenge our beliefs. We also need to be more critical of our own biases and the biases of others.

Why Trust Science? is a timely and important book. It provides a much-needed framework for understanding the role of science in society and for rebuilding trust in science.
